I have been working on a digital planner for wedding photographers for about three months now and I want to give you the full rundown on what it entails.
I initially made a physical planner for wedding photographers back at the end of 2019. I sold copies around Europe, but we all know what happened in 2020. With the pandemic in full swing, I put it on hold and have been looking for the right time to bring it back. Around the end of 2021, I discovered the rise of digital planners and figured that this is the right direction for the 2nd edition of the planner.
WHAT IS A DIGITAL PLANNER?
A digital planner is basically a pdf document that you can open using a notetaking app. Ideally you will use an iPad or Tablet – although I am aware that some people use a MacBook or a similar device. The beauty of an iPad or Tablet is that you still get the feeling of having a book in your hands that you can write in. So in order to write on it, you will need an Apple Pencil or similar Stylus. And to make it easier to write on the surface, you can buy a special screen protector that emulates the feeling of writing on paper. And like I mentioned before, you will need to download a notetaking app. On my iPad, I personally use GoodNotes, but also have heard good things about Notability. And no, you cannot use OneNore or Evernote, because they do not support hyperlinks. I want to take a moment here to remind you that I am not sponsored or affiliated with any of these products at this point in time. These are purely recommendations. As for Tablets, I have read online that good options for notetaking apps are Xodo and Noteshelf. But I do highly recommend that you do your own research.

A general description of My Wedding Season Planner is that it is a 2022 dated planner. Yes, I realise that we are already at the end of March 2022, but hey, better late than never, right? There are three main areas that this planner is going to help you with. Using it consistently and integrating it into your overall workflow will help you:

The Productivity Tips page provides you with the necessary information to help you map-out how you can best manage your to-dos, as well as find time to rest and relax. You can use the monthly overview and weekly pages to write down and follow-up on your tasks/projects.
The Quiet Season Ideas and Marketing Ideas pages help you to plan out what you can do to keep the needle moving in your business.
The Equipment Checklist and Organisation Checklist pages are there to help you make sure that you keep track of your gear, hard drives, folders, client documents, and so much more…
2. STAY ON TOP OF YOUR WORK AND ENHANCE CLIENT EXPERIENCE
The Client Information Overview and Post-Session Workflow pages hold relevant client information and make it easier to track the client journey.
The Simplified Income-Tracking and Simplified Expenses-Tracking pages help you have an overview of your earnings and spendings in your business.
3. REACH YOUR GOALS & BUILD A THRIVING WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY BRAND & BUSINESS
There are pages dedicated to annual Goal-Setting. You are able to track your goals on a monthly and quarterly basis.
And then, at the end of the planner, there are a few blank pages for your notes.
